We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Customer Service Specialist team with leadership and supervisory potential.

The ideal candidate will possess a positive, outgoing and team-spirited attitude, ability to work within the operational group, superior attention to detail and organization skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, strong ethic and ability to provide consistently excellent customer service experience by maintaining the highest degree of courtesy, confidentiality and professionalism.

Required Experience:  MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, AS400, Data Entry, Filing, Customer Service, Multiple Telephone Lines

Additional responsibilities:

• Responsible for receiving customer calls and solving customer challenges quickly and effectively


• Accountable for booking truckloads in designated areas and scheduling appointments on-time and accurately


• Data entry, running reports and scheduling appointments as needed


• Participate in daily Customer Service report meetings


• Participate in weekly Operations meetings (Mondays)


• Participate in quarterly Management & Staff development meetings


• Negotiating rates


• Organization of customer and broker files


• Solicitation of new/existing customers and brokers


• Updating company and contact information


• Assisting with billing inquiries


• Maintain/update accurate inventories/deliveries


• Customer Retention - Maintain existing accounts and attract new accounts


• Support Customer Service Supervisor/Sales Coordinator in creating new and innovative ways in customer retention and marketing ideas


• Support Sales Reps and Operations personnel with questions or dilemmas if they occur
