Customer Service Technical Representative
A good candidate for the job will have a minimum of 1 year experience with Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, have a solid knowledge of basic internet related applications, and excellent communication skills.  For some of our customers, we are their entire IT organization and we deliver and support every aspect of their IT infrastructure: domain registration, DNS, website hosting, database management, email services, backup/restore.
You'll work side by side with the senior technical resources that built the company and our hosting infrastructure and solutions from the ground up. The web is the future, and at 3Essentials, you will get valuable career-building experience in web technology you cannot beat.
The right candidate will work on the Customer Service Team and split time handling phone calls, answering tickets and supporting our servers.


 
The job duties include:



  • Daily administrative tasks

  • Assist customers in matching their needs to 3Essentials offerings, explaining pricing and answering other product/service inquires.

  • Customer billing and payment inquiries.
    Operate Billing System: Use our web driven billing interface to perform daily tasks such as account upgrades, payment failures, account cancellations and other detailed service changes.

  • Providing customer service via telephone, online chat and tickets

  • Windows Server systems administration. 

  • Shift work required

  • Rotating on-call responsibilities

  • Requires eligibility to work in the US, no visa sponsorship

  • Location:  Goldsboro, NC office  
     

Required Skills:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

  • Possess a solid working knowledge of internet based applications; web browsing and email services. (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Outlook, etc.).

  • Minimum of  1 year experience with Windows Server  2003 or 2008.

  • Can provide quality customer service via telephone and email.

  • Ability to follow very detailed instructions.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.

  • Ability to learn and adapt as new technologies emerge and are implemented.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Basic understanding of the World Wide Web, http, FTP.

  • Basic math skills
     

Additional Skills.  Not Required, but a plus if you have:



  • Repair, troubleshoot and diagnose operating system errors and malfunctions.

  • Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

  • MCP, MSCE, RHCE, A+, Cisco, Dell certifications.

  • Knowledge of: PHP, ASP.NET, MySQL, MS SQL

  • Remote administration experience

  • Knowledge of server hardware;  processors, hard drives, RAID, RAM
