Job Description
Management of warehouse, deployment, customer service, transportation, order management, production planning, and packing supply procurement. This position will handle all aspects of finished product supply through the manufacturing facility to the distribution network and direct ship customers to maximize customer order fill rates and service.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare budgets for warehouse and packing supplies to ensure productivity and minimize cost
- Prepare capital justifications for continuous improvement
- Follow up on any customer issues/concerns
- Monitor production planning
- Oversee team leaders, Logistics department, and hourly warehouse employees.
- Performance evaluations
- Coaching and Disciplinary action
- Grievance procedure
- Manage raw materials used in plant operations including selection of transportation mode, payment process, inventory levels, and contract balances.
- Negotiate sale of by-product, scrap corrugated and office paper.
- Manage department budget for finished product including: raw materials, packing supplies, and miscellaneous shipments.
- Negotiate contracts for storage and secondary packaging at 3rd party logistics operations and sheltered workshops

- Contribute to and support the plant's objectives and continuous improvement in all areas

Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; Logistics or Supply Chain preferred
- 5-8 years experience in the management of Logistics
