Customer Service Representative I

Armstrong Cabinet Products (ACP) is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Customer Service Representative for our Charlotte, NC facility.  Under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager and Team Leader, this position will manage orders and respond to incoming inquiries from account customers. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are a positive, energetic person with a commitment to providing excellent customer service and you enjoy working in a call center environment this may be the right opportunity for you!  
 
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Answer customer inquiries about product inventory levels and open orders.

  • Solicit material orders for shipment to customers.

  • Accept, process, track and monitor customer orders received by phone, fax or hand delivery.

  • Work with customer service supervisor and other customer service representatives to decide allocation of material.

  • Monitor distributor purchase orders and combine for shipment via UPS, less than truckload (LTL) or full truckload shipments.

  • Work closely with warehouse/shipping and other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of orders.

  • Help resolve customer problems or complaints related to shipments, inventory, and pricing.

  • Review invoices and initiate credits and invoices to correct billing and shipping errors. 

  • Provides back-up support within the teams.


Qualifications
 
We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a clerk, preferably in the cabinetry or building materials industry

  • Basic computer skills in MS Office Software

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Able to multi-task

  • Work well under pressure and deadlines

  • Positive attitude

  • Professional demeanor
