JOB SUMMARY:   Responsible for soliciting and maintaining favorable contacts with current and potential key accounts. 

 

  • Develops sales of services and/or products by researching and resolving customer problems, recommending modifications to the service/product line, and coordinating sales negotiations with appropriate regional personnel. 
  • Visits hospitals on a daily basis to determine the customer’s needs. 
  • Schedules meetings with department heads at hospitals to persuade conversion of business.  Schedules meetings with materials managers and buyers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in purchase orders. 
  • Checks inventory to determine hospital usage levels. 
  • Researches new products that hospitals are interested in purchasing. 
  • Prepares cost comparisons for hospitals to justify  distribution.   
  • Converts new customer’s product numbers. 
  • Acts as liaison between hospital and manufacturers to ensure accuracy of materials/contracts/supplies. 
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through successful completion of administrative tasks. 
  • Stays abreast of new value-added services and product development. 
  • Quotes prices and credit terms to client organization and assists in the preparation of contracts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Over one year up to and including three years previous experience in a related medical field.
  • Good work ethic, job stability, PC skills, presentation skills, teamwork, leadership, communication/people skills required. 
  • Degree preferred, but not required, or broad training equal to 2 years of college.
  • Professional dress also required. 
  • Candidate must travel to both locations listed above.
