Customer Trainer - Submarine
Description:
Serves as a lead training professional in a cross-functional team setting and as an on-site representative at the Submarine Learning Facility at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, HI. Supports development and conduct of instructor-led training courses and computer-based training products, including operations, maintenance, and repair procedures for legacy and new submarine electronic systems.
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to the team developing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (ARCI)/ Next Generation Nuclear Attack Submarine (NSSN) submarine sonar platforms as well as the SME to the Interactive Multi-media Instruction (IMI)/ Computer Based Training (CBT) development team supporting data collections for each system configuration, storyboard development, test generation, and multi-media implementation. Will be responsible for tutoring Navy instructors and supporting their training efforts. Will be responsible for meeting crews to understand current problems with training and be able to recommend solutions and provide remedial training. Serve as the point of contact (POC) for the Lockheed Martin Training and Technical Documentation organization to the Navy customers and end users of our products.
Gains an indepth knowledge of multiple systems each year, develops commercial and/or MIL SPEC training curriculum for these systems and provides course conduct at the plant, dockside at Naval stations, onboard the submarines, and at the Navy schoolhouse(s).
Has several years technical experience in Instructional System Design, curriculum development, and course conduct. Has knowledge of the Navy's AIM development tool/process. Specific experience in developing training material and conducting courses for DoD programs such as operator/maintenance training for submarine systems ANBQQ5, ANBQQ6, ANBSY1, ANBSY2,and ANBQQ10 is required. Network training experience is a strong plus. Selected candidate must have a Secret clearance.
Position requires travel to other locations as need be.
The work in this position will be at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, HI.
Qualifications:
Instructional system design including knowledge of the AIM toolset course conduct. Actual at-sea Operator/Maintenance experience on ARCI and/or NSSN submarine, sonar platforms is essential. Electronic System and Network System Maintenance. Analytical thinking. Good writing skills. Good oral communications. Must be a fast learner and able to perform independently in a dynamic environment.
