Key Role:
Analyze and define information assurance security requirements for local and wide area networks. Design, develop, engineer, and implement security solutions that meet network security requirements. Maintain responsibility for the integration and implementation of a network security solution. Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle. Perform Network Information Engineering functions with an emphasis on intrusion detection systems, firewalls, logging and correlation systems, databases, including SQL, Host Compliance and Protection Suite (HCPS) implementation, and all other information system security related products that may be added to improve the information systems security infrastructure. Identify IA security requirements, work with common network mapping tools, and identify information assurance system security requirements to mitigate mapped vulnerabilities This position is located in Hanover, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
-8 years of experience with information assurance
-7 years of experience with Solaris, Microsoft, firewall, and intrusion detection support
-5 years of experience with defining network security requirements for local and wide area networks, evaluation of approved network security product capabilities, configuring standard communications protocols, detecting and analyzing network vulnerabilities, and developing proper computer system security solutions
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma
-8570.1 Technical Level III Certification
Additional Qualifications:
-Ability to work as part of a team and independently
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
-BA or BS degree preferred
