We need DB2 Developer/DBA to help with a replatform effort. The group systems which are respectively running on SQL server and Oracle and they are merging the technology onto DB2 while also re-architecting the platform.
The application is within credit risk, collateral management, and basel regulatory reporting domain. Financial services is not necessary, but a plus.
Need a DBA turned Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience...we are probably looking for more, though...8-10 years would be a good target...but don't hold back if you have someone sharp with less years. Team is very technical so we need someone who is very technically sound.
Candidate must have physically done an implementation of DB2.
He or she should have large data warehouse experience... group is dealing with 10-20 Terabytes. Candidate should have DPF (database partitioning) experience because they are working with multi-nodes. They should have multi node 9 data x version experience...9.7 is not required.
Candidate should have scripting capabilities...Perl, ksh, or linux utilities.
This is not a DB2 on a mainframe...they need Linux DB2 experience.
Someone who has written DB2 for walmart, home depot or other large companies would be great.
