DB2 Database Manager- Contract to Hire Opportunity

Our client has an immediate need for a Database Manager with DB2 DBA experience on z/OS systems to be responsible for managing a team of 8 DB2 Database Administrators.  In this role you will manage the workload of the DBA staff, drawing from your own previous experience as a DB2 DBA.  In addition, you will provide the leadership qualities and vision that can raise the level of performance of the team and establish a basis for promotion to more senior levels of responsibility within the company. 

Responsibilities include:

-Managing a team of DB2 DBAs for test and production environments

-Establishing and maintaining individual and team performance standards and metrics

-Proactively managing continuous process improvement working proactively with application and other operations areas
