DBA - Oracle/SQL

SQL Server and Oracle DBA - Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's databases.
- Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions.
- May participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards; May lead moderately complex projects.
- 4 year degree in IT or related field and 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following:
- business requirement identification and analysis
- logical, and/or physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping
- moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment
- performance monitoring and tuning
- analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Stored procedure development in SQL Server environment
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL and Oracle development
- Monitoring and developing of new monitoring tools and strategies
- Assists in after hours work for deployments, installs and fixes Maintenance/support of database and reporting server environment
Minimum Qualifications - In depth knowledge of database systems in a Data Warehousing environment
- Strong communication skills written and verbal, with multitasking capabilities, and a good sense of urgency and prioritization
- Strong follow through with little supervision Strong SQL Server 2005/2008 DBA experience and moderate Oracle 10g experience
- Experience managing large databases including partitioning strategies
- Familiar with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS
- Advanced SQL skills
- Understanding of reporting solutions

- Understanding of call center environments IVR background &/or CTI background Unix (Solaris) and Windows experience
