POSITION:


SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER:


You will work as part of the IT Team and will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing systems, training and supporting staff, and planning for and implementing new technology.


Skills Needed:


*Able to manage switches with vLANs


*Understand how to tag vLAN traffic


*Configure firewalls--WatchGuard knowledge a plus


*Understand TCP/IP


*Install, configure and troubleshoot ESX


*Familiar with the appropriate tool sets related to backup optimization, logging etc.


*Knowledgeable with Microsoft Products--Windows Server, Exchange and the related tool sets


*Ability to troubleshoot AntiVirus, Backup and Optimization


*Knowledgeable with AD/DNS and related components


 


Summary of Duties Include:


• Respond to incoming requests for technical assistance and provide rapid, customer-service oriented desktop support


• Install, maintain, and upgrade software and hardware including DELL desktop PCs, laptops, BlackBerry handhelds and projection devices


• Efficiently isolate and assess the potential causes of technical problems


• Document detailed but concise troubleshooting procedures and technical solutions for the IT team knowledge base


• Propose suggestions to improve systems infrastructure and procedures


• Plan and organize PC service improvements, disk imaging and delivery, and technical management processes


• Evaluate new hardware and software


• Be part of a team responsible for supporting data backup and recovery


 


Additional Skills Needed:


 


€        Qualified candidate will have 2+ years of hands on Desktop Support


€        Possess the ability to work well within a team

€        Strong problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action
