Needed to support computer hardware, software, and associated peripherals throughout campus. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining, assembling, installing and troubleshooting computer hardware, software applications, and associated peripherals following standard departmental procedures; providing technical support to users and advising on the correct use of available software and hardware resources; researching availability, cost, and appropriate equipment/software that will fit the unique needs of each area; proactively and constantly accessing the computing needs of all users in assigned areas to provide each user with the best equipment/software available and ensuring that every computer meets department requirements; keeping up to date computer inventory in assigned areas; delivering excellent customer service to constituencies; providing technical support of computer labs, classrooms, and smart classrooms; assisting with the help desk and telephone communication area; assisting with other projects as needed. A B.A. or B.S. degree (or equivalent experience) with experience assembling, installing and troubleshooting computer hardware, software applications, and associated peripherals. Candidates must possess the ability to learn and work independently in a fast paced environment, effectively communicate, schedule and prioritize jobs, work well with college personnel and students, lift 50 pounds.
