DEVELOPER I

This position acts independently to translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. This includes the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information systems and acting as interface with customers and other developers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business requirements. Projects utilize a variety of hardware and software technologies and may include new code construction, modifications to existing modules, and/or package implementation. Incumbents apply disciplined software development processes and utilize leading edge technologies to engineer and implement their automated solutions to business problems.

Analyzes and documents customer business requirements to ensure a thorough understanding of business needs

Participates in buy/build analysis and feasibility reviews as well as in the development of RFIs, RFPs, and vendor reviews

Contributes to or may produce complete designs of business solutions, including assessing project resource requirements

As needed, develops/modifies programs and/or customizes applications to meet Guardian business needs

Evaluates and select tools necessary to build and support applications

Participates in systems integration efforts to ensure new or modified systems operate effectively in the environment

Conducts tests including user acceptance tests

May lead installation of new or modified systems, providing post-implementation support

Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed solutions

 

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent

Typically candidates will possess 3+ years of relevant experience

Proficient with Magic / uniPaaS application development
