DIRECTOR I -- END-USER SERVICES Build & INTEGRATION







The Leader of End-User Services Build & Integration reports to the Director, End-User Services and is responsible for establishing client application standards, and the Common Operating Environment (COE) for end user computing products and services company-wide to meet current and future business needs. This individual will lead a group responsible for developing and updating the COE and applications roadmaps in close partnership with the Business Applications Council (BAC), the SAP Competency Center (SAP CC), and the applications groups from all of the businesses.



This individual will serve as a member of the extended Enterprise IT leadership team directly managing 3-5 senior IT technologists and indirectly another 10-15 matrixed technologists from the businesses, corporate, and the IT Services Supplier. This leader is responsible for the definition and maintenance of the company's end-user applications and COE architecture and roadmap which ultimately requires review and approval from the IT Leadership Team. While directly responsible for a budget of approximately $5M, through this team's end-user applications and COE architecture and roadmap related decisions, this individual will ultimately have influence over most of the company's spend on end-user technology.

This individual will serve as Enterprise IT's end-user services representative on the BAC and SAP CC Change Control Board and will be responsible for reviewing and approving business and corporate requests for changes to end-user applications and the COE image for company-wide adoption. This individual will be responsible for coaching and developing senior end-user IT technologists through formal and informal mentoring, maintenance of technical competency models, development and delivery of technical training, and providing a pipeline for future IT Fellows. This leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining the company-wide IT end-user applications architecture, vision and strategy that guides the enterprise IT organization's efforts to provide information solutions that meet existing and future business needs.



This leader develops IT architecture objectives for end-user computing applications developed internally, commercial off-the-shelf software, messaging, collaboration, search, social computing software, and establishes the related policies and processes to ensure consistent adoption and implementation across the company. This leader remains continuously aware of business, technical, systems, information management and access, and infrastructure issues; acts as a consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions meeting company-wide needs; and maintains visibility in the technical community through technical papers and seminar / conference participation both within and external to Raytheon.











Responsibilities:

* Manages enterprise technology staff responsible for defining, engineering, testing, and certifying current and next generation end-user computing applications and solutions.

* Provides matrix organizational management of technology leaders from each of the businesses, corporate, and the service provider in developing end-user applications and common operating environment roadmaps, aligning against industry releases.

* Anticipates and influences IT industry future direction for end user computing applications and standards for the benefit of the company.

* Establish and communicate company-wide technology vision and direction for end user applications in collaboration with IT Enterprise Solutions Center, SAP Competency Center and external applications providers such as Microsoft, IBM and Adobe.

* Leads group responsible for testing and certification of end user computing applications -- productivity, messaging, collaboration, search, content management, etc.

* Oversees the IT third party services provider for the development, test and packaging of client applications for distribution to multiple businesses, international locations and company-wide.

* Directs the horizontal integration testing of productivity and enterprise applications to ensure interoperability, performance, reliability and fit for purpose.

* Acts as a consultant to senior business and functional leaders to develop end user application solutions for business issues.

* Coaches and develops a bench of technology leaders who can provide 3rd/4th level escalated technical support for end user applications.







Required Skills:







* Minimum 14 years leading and managing enterprise organizations responsible for end-user computing, messaging, web services and collaboration technologies.

* Maintains a thorough understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle.

* Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading high performing teams responsible for development and/or delivery of IT end-user technologies.

* Experience performing hardware/software product evaluation, trade-off analysis, configuration and enhancement support directly related to work-place or business optimization.

* Familiar with current industry standards and best practices in end-user technologies.

* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to debate, dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with others collaboratively and constructively.

* Strong ability to achieve results in a matrix environment and energize a project team to deliver on time and on budget.

* Strong computer literacy -- x86-based hardware, Microsoft and Adobe applications.

* Excellent verbal and written communications.

* Ability to work multiple projects/programs simultaneously.

* Ability to attain DOD -- Secret Security Clearance.

* Ability to travel (domestic and international)







Desired Skills:



* Six Sigma and/or Lean certification/training

* Industry certifications such as: MCSE, MCSD, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, CISSP, PMP & ITIL V2 & V3





Required Education:



* Bachelors degree required, Desired Masters degree (MS, MBA) or equivalent in Engineering, Computer or Information Science or Mathematics
