DIRECTOR
INTERNATIONAL SALES & MARKETING –
CONSUMER PRODUCTS
The Marrick Group, has been assigned by our client, The
Hunter Fan Company, to search for a Director of International Sales &
Marketing. This position is located
at the divisional headquarters in Memphis, TN.
Founded in 1886 and headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Hunter
Fan Co. is the world’s leading brand in ceiling fan manufacturing. Today, Hunter also manufactures
high-performance air purifiers, humidifiers, portable fans, decorative bath fans,
and energy-saving thermostats which are sold to retail showrooms, home centers,
and other leading stores throughout North America and the rest of the world.
We are immediately searching for an experienced, dynamic and
customer focused sales and marketing professional to direct our International
business focusing on Latin America, Mexico and European markets.
Directly responsible for all International Sales, Product
Development, Channel & Product Marketing, and Operations, as well as dotted
line responsibility for Engineering and Customer Service with 5 direct with
additional indirect reports.
This position will report to our Vice President of Field
Sales and be responsible for the following duties:

Develop and implement strategic sales and
marketing plans across international markets and multiple distribution channels
on a worldwide basis.

Manage both internal and external (third party)
sales managers to represent, sell and service Hunter Fan products on a
worldwide basis.
·
Directly manage and coordinate international
sales to key corporate accounts through international distribution base.
·
Develop market specific products, packaging, and
pricing for several product categories to effectively service varied
international market requirements.
·
Develop and execute annual strategic and product
plan for international business.
·
Manage multi-million dollar operating budget.
·
Manage 5-Direct reports in various sales,
marketing, and operations roles to support the international division.
·
Responsible for day to day management and
P&L over sight of International division.
Duties will consist of 50% marketing and 50% sales.
The position will be based in
and will entail 35-50% travel.
A successful candidate must have the following
qualifications or experience to be considered:

B.A or B.S., preferably in Business
Administration.
·
Minimum of 10 years of professional sales and/or
marketing experience with major retailers and distributors in Latin America,
Mexico and European markets, preferably in consumer durable goods including the
home improvement, electrical, or lighting industries.
- MUST HAVE MINIMUM 4 YEARS HANDS-ON CONSUMER PRODUCT MANAGEMENT/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE.
Must be fluent, bilingual English/Spanish. An additional language fluency is a plus.

Hands-on successful product management and new
product development for multi-culture markets is a must.
·
Experience in cross-cultural management and
driving projects to completion through effective management of cross-functional
teams. Must be detail oriented.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work
with diverse personalities as well as developing and maintaining productive
relationships with existing and new customers in multi-cultures.
·
Strong computer and communication skills
including competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
