NYU’s Stern School has a challenging opportunity for a Director of Development, Undergraduate College. This is a senior management position within Stern’s Alumni Relations and Development department. The Director of Development will collaborate with the Associate Dean for Alumni & Development and Deans to develop and implement long term strategies for directing major gifts and annual giving initiatives that facilitate the Undergraduate College’s advancement priorities. S/he will ensure that Stern’s major donors and alumni are fully engaged in the school’s current and future campaign/development strategies and goals. The Director will spearhead a comprehensive individual giving program with emphasis on $100,000+ restricted gifts for scholarship, faculty development, centers, institutes, special programs and initiatives. The Director will identify and prioritize existing and new donors and prospects, and then cultivate these individuals to match their interests with the school’s needs. S/he will also develop campaigns featuring academic disciplines and program areas and prioritize cultivation and solicitations to best maximize the role of the Dean, Vice Deans and high level volunteers including board members. He/she will also lead and develop a team of 4 fund raising professionals.

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising or related area, preferably with knowledge of the metropolitan New York community and the financial community. Proven ability to cultivate and solicit high level donors and manage relationships is essential. Master’s degree or MBA preferred along with strong strategic, communication, writing and staff management skills.
