DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ANALYSIS

Our client, a globally recognized software developer has a key requirement for a senior level finance professional.  The selected candidate will support the Global Professional Services and the Customer Support & Training business segments representing nearly 50% of the Company's revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading financial management for the global service business to achieve business and finance goals and commitments.  Develop and monitor key performance metrics including bookings, billings, revenue and spending, utilization, backlog, and pipeline. 


• Responsible for financial support of worldwide customer support, software maintenance and training business segments.  Develop and monitor key performance metrics.


• Provide direct finance support to Global Professional Services, Training and Customer Support leadership teams. 


• Responsible for rolling up forecast revenue and functional expense categories within regions to HQ; and validating same with regional management. 


• Responsible for providing timely reporting and analysis of financial results and performance metrics.


• Ensure finance coordination with Regional Finance Directors, headquarters staff and operations teams.


• Responsible for ensuring adherence to revenue recognition policies including SOP 81-1 & SOP 97-2 inclusive of multiple element arrangements where vendor specific objective evidence (VSOE) is required.


• Responsible for supporting and participating in bundling analysis - examining the interrelationship between license arrangements and services arrangements. 


• Measure achievement of bonus metrics for regional and Global Services Team.


• Maintain SOX process controls for Services Organization and propose required changes in process controls.


• Participate as key reviewer and approver as the primary Professional Services Finance representative on customer services proposals, inclusive of cost, pricing, payment terms and business T's & C's to insure proposals remain within guidelines, given risk assessment.


• Plan, direct, supervise, review and set goals and objectives for Services Finance staff.

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or Finance coupled with an MBA or similar advanced degree.


• 10 - 15 years professional experience, including senior finance roles, in support of Professional Service and Customer Support teams preferred


• Knowledge of Software Services Revenue Recognition Rules (primarily SOP 81-1 and SOP 97-2)


• Excellent communication and presentation skills


• Strong expertise in office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.)


• Expertise in Services Metrics and Management requirements

SALARY:
to $165,000 plus Bonus
