DISTRICT SALES MANAGER

About the Job

Leading Manufacturer of Ergonomic computer prodcuts and accessories, agressively seeks a District Manager for our Boston sales office.

BASIC FUNCTION:

 

Responsible for meeting an established sales quota for a direct sales team.  Responsible for accomplishing marketing objectives and providing leadership, hiring, mentoring, and developing a solid tenure sales team.

NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Meets an established individual and/or district sales quota and individual performance objectives. Provides leadership to sales staff to ensure successful accomplishment. Meets profitability per planned objective.
  2. Responsible for the leadership, development, and supervision of sales team. This includes the following: setting objectives with members, completing performance appraisals, developing target accounts and new business, and forecasting and managing the budget.
  3. Manages, develops, and maintains appropriate staff levels to ensure successful accomplishment of district goals and objectives.
  4. Responsible for going on sales calls and providing coaching and leadership to develop the sales team.
  5. Implements established policies, procedures, and strategies.
  6. Establishes and maintains high quality and responsive standards to customer needs and assists and coaches district personnel with customers.
  7. Provides liaison assistance between the factory and the customer regarding product shipment and quality matters and customer assistance regarding installation and service.
  8. Travels to customer, and specifier locations to make sales presentations, sell products, and solve problems.
  9. Provides input to the development of regional plans and major account strategies and implements same.
  10. Ensures knowledge and understanding of current products and competitive product lines.  Responsible for implementation of our training program. 
  11. Manages district budget.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent.

5-10 years of diversified experience in sales and marketing including

3 years of experience managing a direct/outside/b2b sales force

 

Salary:

Commesurate with experience.
