DistTech, Inc is an established leader in dedicated contract and common carriage for bulk liquid commodities. Our initial operations began in the early 1930s with one pickup truck and developed into an international motor carrier that is one of the largest in the tank truck industry today.
The original Company was founded by John Manfredi and his son Frank, transporting milk from farms in Northeast Ohio to dairies in Cleveland. The Company was incorporated in 1949 as Manfredi Motor Transit Co. and soon became an interstate carrier for Cleveland-based companies.
Since deregulation of the trucking industry in 1980, DistTech has grown extensively. Not only has the Company expanded its core base of business in the liquid bulk chemical hauling, but has also acquired businesses and added affiliate companies to maintain its continuous growth.
In 2004, the Company officially changed its name to Distribution Technologies, Inc. (later shortened to DistTech) to better reflect the firm's core capability of merging reliable transportation service with real-time information technology.
Today, DistTech is truly an international provider of bulk logistics services with more than 35 locations, employing 700 professionals, travelling over 40,000,000 miles per year, delivering over 250,000,000 gallons of product annually.
