Dairy Feed Sales Consultant, Animal Nutrition Division
Position Reports to: Sales Manager
Location: Idaho
Overview:
We are third party recruiters. Our client is seeking a sales consultant to be responsible for maintaining and acquiring accounts that increase the financial return to the shareholders of the company. This will be accomplished by increasing the profitability of our clients through innovative nutritional and management consulting.
General Responsibilities
- Sales of custom formulated mineral/vitamin packages to dairy and beef producers.
- Work with sales manager to ensure profitable sales.
- Formulate and present new items to improve profitability of clients and the company.
- Travel as needed to acquire new accounts.
- Communicate with other nutritionist to improve nutritional expertise.
- Establish and meet goals that help achieve company goals.
- Be a source of knowledge and ideas for clients as well as other feed division employees.
- Responsible for finding and acquiring new accounts.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in ruminant nutrition required and a PhD is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills to interpret herd records and make ration formulations and management suggestions to clients and prospects.
- Willing to travel with overnight stays.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be a self motivated individual.
Must have excellent people skills and be able to communicate with different personality types.
