We have an immediate opening for a Data Architect in Dallas / Fort Worth, TX.   This is initially a 7 month contract opportunity that could go much longer.

Job Description:

The role of the Data Architect is to expand the company's use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives. The candidate will be responsible for data integration efforts as a member of the Enterprise Data organization. Knowledge in all facets of Data Architecture including metadata capture, secure data transfer & storage, and data delivery via Business Intelligence tools are essential assets of the successful candidate.

Job Requirements:

Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in IT with relational database management systems and a minimum of 2 years serving in an architecture role. Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with Line of Business leaders to understand and infer intra-departmental and inter-departmental data needs. Design and document Data Integration (ODS/Warehouse) solutions. Ability to recommend appropriate Business Intelligence solutions (Analytics/Scorecards/Dashboards) based on data usage requirements. Ability to communicate with Infrastructure teams regarding SFTP, SSH, encryption requirements. Knowledge of Oracle and Teradata database systems is a must. Knowledge of Cognos solutions a plus. B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
