GENERAL SUMMARY:
The data architect will have extensive experience defining data interfaces among various DoD information systems using data formats such as MILS, ASC X12, and XML, developing interface requirement design documents (IRDDs) for various formats, and understanding of the critical nature of detailed data interface requirements. The data engineer will develop the data and information viewpoints (DIVs) and various SVs, including SV-6, the pivotal product for the ISP. In support of the ISP, the data engineer will use the Joint C4I Program Assessment Tool - Empowered (JCPAT-E) processes to register JCIDS artifacts. Our data engineer will meet the following qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate degree in information management or information systems management, business administration, technology management, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- Certification as an enterprise architect through a recognized program, such as FEAC.
- Ten years experience defining data interfaces among various DoD information systems using data formats such as MILS, ASC X12, and XML, and incorporating those formats into Interface Requirement Design Documents (IRDDs).
- Five or more years experience with AMC’s Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) database.
- Five or more years of experience following AMC guidance for developing EA products and artifacts for both enterprise and systems solution architectures.
- Worked with or a member of the AMC Enterprise Architecture Branch and familiar with AMC’s EA guidance.
- Five or more years experience with the logistics and tactical systems used to accomplish AMC’s mission.
- Demonstrated experience with IT methods and techniques, such as structured analysis and design techniques, object-oriented analysis, IDEF modeling standards, UML, BPMN, and model driven architectures.
- Working knowledge of JCPAT-E and Defense Information Technology Standards Repository Online (DISR Online) processes for creating JCIDs artifacts and registering ISPs.
- CASE tools: Telelogic’s System Architect, IDS Scheer’s ARIS, IBM’s Rational, and Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project and MS Visio.
- Data modeling and data interface and interchange definitions.
- Excellent communications skill for facilitating information gathering meetings.
- Secret security clearance.
