Data Backup Tape Operator
This position is primarily responsible for handling media management, maintaining documentation and assisting with Disaster Recovery related tasks.

· Assist Tape Media tracking (location and use)
· Assist Documenting and Reporting daily backup status (Metrics)
· Travel between Go Daddy sites in the Phoenix Metro area to perform tape management tasks.
· Tape Vaulting about 1,100 – 1,200 per week.
· Library Maintenance, cleaning tapes, ordering tapes.
· Legal Restores
· Oversee and assure backup solution documentation for backup jobs, media management and troubleshooting responsibilities
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization
What do you need to do this job?
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
· Knowledge of Veritas and other backup products
· Excellent documentation skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Maintain high degree of self-motivation
· Attention to detail
· Ability to achieve specific results from little direction
Are you a good fit?
· High school degree or equivalent required
· 1 or more years of experience in an information technology department
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds
· Must have full mobility, including walking, squatting, lifting, bending, reaching, leaning, climbing, and turning. Must be able to perform these actions repeatedly for periods of up to ten hours
· Must be able to sit at a desk for periods of up to four hours at a time
