The successful candidate must be energetic and possess self-motivation and time-management skills to simultaneously handle multiple projects and work in a fast paced, dynamic group. The SQL DBA position would work with application developers, business analysts and network operations to recommend, construct, install, configure and maintain the company’s core ERP application and ancillary database systems. The position will also research new technologies, and provide technology guidance to leadership core.

Technical skill requirements include:

-    Minimum 5 years hands on administering several large scale SQL Server databases in a sizeable environment

-    Proven database development and quality review expertise

-    Minimum of 5 years T/SQL development experience (DDL, DML; Stored Procedures, Views, Functions)

-    Solid database optimization techniques and practices

-    SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

-    SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

-    SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

-    Clustered Servers

-    Transactional Replication

-    Experience supporting and implementing High Availability Solutions for SQL Server

-    BS in computer science or related field and relevant technical coursework

-    Experience in with Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP / Dynamics NAV or comparable ERP solutions a strong plus

Duties Include:

-    Resolving blocking and deadlocking issues

-    Handle issues surrounding DBCC integrity validations, index de-fragmentation, error log scraping; ensure compliance with database standards, best practices, methodologies, processes and procedures

-    Ensure database optimization at the application and server level

-    Ensure that a High Availability architecture is in place

-    Work with Business Analysts to ensure a solid disaster recovery plan is implemented

-    Establishment, development and maintenance of database server maintenance plans

-    Development of core business reports, data transfers and analysis tools utilizing SSRS, SSIS and SSAS

-    Responsible for database server performance analysis, monitoring, and patching.
