Max Specialty Insurance Company (Max Specialty), a member of Max Capital Group, is seeking a highly motivated and professional Coder to join its Horsham, Pennsylvania office. 

Max Capital Group Ltd. is listed on NASDAQ as MXGL and provides a wide range of niche and specialty insurance and re insurance products for corporations, public entities, property and casualty insurers and life and health insurers from offices in Bermuda, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the USA.

The primary responsibility of the position is to provide underwriting support by coding policy information for the Contract Binding Authority (CBA) Division of the company.  The Coder reports to the Operations Manager.   

Position Requirements

• Code policy transactions into web-based operating system
  
• Provide support for workflow management
  
• Assist department and manager with special projects as needed

Communication

• Maintain all established Max Specialty service standards
  
• Treat all associates, colleagues and clients in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner

Training

• Participate in any agreed upon insurance / business seminar or class and pass exam, if applicable
  
• Participate in any internal training provided by the company

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, college degree or equivalent preferred
  
• 2 – 4 years of related experience preferred
  
• Prior coding or rating experience with insurance company preferred
  
• Excellent data entry of keyboard experience
  
• Ability to work accurately with detailed information
  
• Good basic math skills
