Legalbill has excellent entry level opportunities within its Data Services Department for its Data Entry Team as well as its Formatting Team. The Data Services Department within Legalbill is responsible for the data entry of law firm invoice information; the formatting of the law firm invoice within Legalbill’s proprietary software in preparation for its review by our paralegal/analysts, and the submission of the law firm invoices for payment when its review is complete.


 


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


 


The Data Entry Team is responsible for receiving law firm invoices in various formats; (i.e., paper, text, or Ledes 98), entering the invoice information into Legalbill’s proprietary software and scanning the invoice so that it can be formatted by the Formatting Team.  The Formatting Team is responsible for editing the scanned document so that it is ready for review by the paralegal/analyst.


 


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


 



  • Two years of college coursework; an Associate’s degree is preferred

  • One to two years experience in an office environment performing clerical work, proof-reading or editing of documents.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and functions within, such as spell check, shortcuts, find/replace, and macros

  • Ability to retain and apply a significant amount of information

  • Must be methodical, organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality

  • Strong typing and 10-key skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong math skills

  • Strong commitment to team success

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task
