| Job Description: | Identifies and develops data models, data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and naming standards and metadata standards for a business intelligence environment. Essential Functions: •Identifies and documents all of the Systems of Records (SORs) used to create and maintain the enterprise’s master data dimensions including identification of source systems for current and historical data elements. •Defines the enterprise data values that are available for each data element to be used to execute data conversion and enterprise data management application configuration. •Develops business data requirements to improve synchronization and harmonization of Hospital’s master data and identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy. •Designs hierarchy structures for the master data attributes that have cross-functional requirements. •Provides data modeling skills including management of data requirements, data flow diagramming and logical data modeling skills to streamline the delivery of internal and external business partners and to meet defined business requirements. •Develops data validation standards for each data object including business definitions, validation rules, naming conventions, and technical data rules. •Defines data architecture functional requirements to improve data quality, and assists in developing overall data architect strategy including supporting a metadata model. •Position may require travel between various Hoag locations and its affiliates. •Position may require participation in 24/7 department on-call program. On-call employees are required to carry a department issued cellular phone or pager, respond to calls within 15 minutes, troubleshoot problem and provide services off-site as needed and be available to provide services on-site as needed within 1 ½ hours of being called or paged to respond. •Position may require participating in meetings outside of normal business hours including occasional evenings and/or weekends. •Position is located in a support department which operates a call center 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide support and service. Operations include 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Employees may be required to pick up shifts outside of their standard assignment for coverage due to vacations, holidays, staff shortages, or other special circumstances as determined by leadership. |
