Currently, we’re seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst (Analytics) who will be
an important member of our team as we significantly expand our in-house data
analysis capabilities for brands, agencies, retailers and our own business
needs.



 



The
ideal candidate will be able to ramp up fast and work under constant pressure,
interruptions and multiple deadlines - such that excellent prioritization and
time management skills are a must.



 



This candidate will need to be able to perform advanced analysis
as well as develop, create, run and format/reformat reports. The ability to
analyze and interpret data is critical. Candidate must be able to research
problems of broad scope as well as troubleshoot/solve problems of unique
complexity. A successful candidate will have previous experience working within
a proprietary database, have excellent consultation skills, have training and
analysis/reporting experience.  Problem
resolution skills are critical in this role.



 



Essential
Functions:



  • Extract and
    analyze data from databases to inform business decisions and actions.
  • Mine internal
    data sources for unprecedented insights.
  • Provide data and
    recommendations to product management, sales, optimization R&D groups,
    business users, and stakeholders.
  • Generate
    standard and ad hoc reports on a regular basis.
  • Become the
    internal analytics expert. Translate business questions into precise
    queries.  Design statistically sound tests, including setting up
    proper control groups.
  • Gain mastery of
    and provide leadership in the use of all tools and methods used by
    analytics groups.
  • Able to clearly distill complex research
    concepts/techniques into simple, relevant meaning for customers and
    clients.
  • Develop new
    tools and methods as well as program change
    recommendations.
  • Support business
    development, sales and marketing efforts through prospective analysis and
    capabilities presentations.
  • Utilize SQL,
    Access, and Excel software to analyze, interpret and research data as needed.
  • Systematically
    identify and define problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement
    effective solutions.  Provide
    strategic analysis to support targeting and segmentation strategies.


 



Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated
    combination of strong business, analytical, reporting, and technical
    skills.
  • Effective
    presentation and communication skills, orally, in writing, and visually
    with graphics.
  • Ability to work
    independently and in a team environment, with comfort in making many
    decisions without direct supervision.
  • Ability to set
    and meet deadlines with dedication to detail and accuracy
  • Strong ability
    to multitask.
  • Demonstrated
    ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across
    functions and teams.
  • Demonstrated
    knack for making the best use of irregular data, coupled with unwavering
    attention to data validation.
  • B.A./B.S. with
    strong academic record; a degree with a quantitative concentration is a
    plus.



 



Technical
Requirements:



  • SQL
  • Experience with
    SPSS or similar analytics tools/software
  • Netezza
    experience a plus
