The Data Services Project Manager manages the project team in the delivery of quality clinical trial management services to achieve the stated goals of the sponsor and i3 Research.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the project and key deliverables, including:
- Function as primary liaison between the sponsor and i3 Research.
- Facilitate all communication with the sponsor to assure understanding of expectations and scope of work.
- Communicate project status and timelines.
- Anticipate, recognize and resolve issues.
- Recognize the need to seek assistance or inform senior management of specific issues.
- Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of assigned clinical trial programs on behalf of i3 Research -development and distribution of all necessary study-related materials.
- Organize and lead necessary team training efforts for all facets of the project and consults with regional management personnel to coordinate field training and monitor observation efforts, as well as discuss noted findings.
- Review, edit as needed, and approve monitoring reports submitted by monitoring personnel.
- Lead and manage the efforts of all key functional departments to perform all project-related activities according to project milestones/timelines in a manner consistent with the i3 Research clinical trial process.
- Maintain communication with Business Development to discuss the cultivation of any identified business opportunities.
- Maintain communication with Business Management to discuss change orders.
- Develop the Clinical Operations Manual and communicate the content to all team members.
- Establish timelines with the project team; present and discuss with the sponsor.
- Manage the project budget and specifications to ensure project goals are achieved according to sponsor expectations.
- Review and approve project-related travel and expense reports for all team members with both line and matrix reporting relationships.
- Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them.
- Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues.
- Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions.
- Performs complex conceptual analyses.
- Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Forecasts and plans resource requirements.
- Authorizes deviations from standards.
- May lead functional or segment teams or projects.
- Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues.
