About the Job

I have the following full-time permanent opportunities located throughout the United States.

All candidates need to be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents (green card holders).

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related field and five (5) years related work experience. In lieu of degree, 10 years related work experience.

Experience in data warehousing, information access set up, and ETL required.

Expertise in structured systems analysis and design, user relations, data gathering techniques, and management information systems.

Expertise in relevant programming and job control languages.

Expertise in structured programming techniques.

Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving abilities.

Expertise in project planning and project management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, directs, and evaluates the work of Development personnel in the delivery of Extract Transform Load (ETL) programming and/or other methods for designing, developing, and extracting data in support of the Data Warehouse.  Communicates with users to develop and maintain a first hand knowledge of their plans, operations, problems, and opportunities.  Assists IM management in refining and enforcing methods and procedures for systems analysis, design, programming and implementation.  Reviews in-progress and completed work for completeness, quality, and adherence to standards.

Plans, directs and controls the activities of the analysis, design, development, and installation phases of the systems life cycle.

Reviews service requests and consults with executive sponsors, requesters, and/or user representatives to clarify intent, discuss problematic areas, and consider alternate solutions.

Estimates personnel requirements, costs and time for project activities, and assigns systems resources.  Uses project management tools for effective personnel utilization, to track and report progress, and to ensure compliance with project implementation schedules.

 

Additional Duties:

Will be responsible for the design of data movement – architect, scalability, performance, design and concept.  Designing solutions around end user needs.  Making the data movement and integration process effective and efficient – ensuring easy access to data.  Must be solutions focused.  Understand a need for data standards & data dictionary (process/structure).  Looking into the data transport methods – working out security issues, encryption, etc.   Must have a very strong business orientation – past experience with supply chain data highly desired.  Very often the end users are not certain of their data sources, structures, etc. – so this person will need to get a solid understanding from a technical and business perspective on the various data sources. Informatica and PL/SQL experience would be a plus.
