Data Warehouse Programmer

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Programming

·         Execute all phases of programming activities including program design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation and implementation

·         Write ad-hoc queries involving sales, operational, order and customer data

·         Build OLAP cubes

·         Review data loaded into Data Warehouse for accuracy

·         Assist other Analysts working in the Data Warehouse on related business applications

 

Support Domino’s Decision Support System (DS²)

·         Gather business requirements from users and  create query tool packages for end-users

·         Train and assist users on  how to use DS²

·          

Production Support

·         Assist with migration of existing applications from Informix to DB2

·         Develop and tune existing Data Warehouse applications to ensure optimum performance

·         Monitor existing Data Warehouse production jobs

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

·         Experience in a Data Warehouse environment

·         3+ years experience with Perl on Unix extracting and manipulating data

·         Strong working knowledge and experience with SQL and relational databases (DB2 a plus)

·         Experience querying medium to large-scale databases

·         Working knowledge of Korn shell scripts

·         Familiarity with IBM-AIX a plus

·         Experience with BI Tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, Cognos 8 BI, Transformer, Powerplay, Business Objects, etc) desired
