At this exciting time at Meta, we are looking for a full-time Database Administrator [DBA] to help maintain our growing database environments. Responsibilities
include:

• Technical support, problem diagnosis and resolution


• Pro-active monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning of databases servers


• Documenting current environment and planning for future growth


• Working with developers on database design and optimization issues

Top candidates should possess:

• Solid SQL knowledge and database administration experience under recent releases of both Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server; including:
  
  
  
  • Database architecture and fundamentals
  
  
  • Backup & Recovery administration and planning
  
  
  • Server configuration, maintenance, and tuning
  
  
  • ANSI SQL & query optimization techniques
  
  
  
  


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


• Experience automating functions and processes using scripting


• Working knowledge of Windows administration


• Familiarity with Linux — a plus


• Ability to prioritize while working independently on multiple projects


• Good written and verbal communication skills are required


• HIM or software development industry knowledge is nice but not required
