Position Purpose:                                              

Responsible for design and development of WEB/Database and Billing applications

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design and development of WEB/Database applications

·         Complete Telecom Billing System Management including but not limited to:

·         Manage all information in billing systems at 99.9% accuracy

·         Verify collection and accuracy of all data and CDRs

·         Manage All Rates - Define prefixes and associated rates to particular carriers databases or products databases, upload into billing system, review for validation and produce updated rate sheets for carriers

·         Review necessary reports for anomalies or errors for all active switches

·         Perform multiple switch trunk group mapping management and maintenance

·         Troubleshoot issues that may arise

·         Manage carrier disputes to completion

·         Work closely with technical and accounting and other departments on billing system updates or any pertinent data updates, general reporting and information

·       Maintain operations by performing daily database administrator duties such as database table creation, alters, permission changes

·      Ensures functionality of database by implementing upgrades and patches; maintaining and monitoring daily back-ups

·        Maintain database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems thorough database design

·         Perform Linux OS, system resource monitoring and troubleshooting

·         HTML Interface design

·         Pearl Scripting design and development

·         Report development

·         Daily reconciliation of data from multiple points

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of technical system management, direct billing management is a plus
• Skill with Linux system administration required
• Strong scripting skills required
• Independent, self starter who works well in a team environment
• Ability to organize and document work preformed
• Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• Highly motivated with orientation to detail
• Must be able to work regular work hours of Monday to Friday

Education, Certification or Training Qualifications:

• Relevant technical degree/diploma, MSSE and MSDBA a plus 
• Three to Five years of the SQL database development/design
• Two years minimum experience in the telecommunications industry a must
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work cross departmentally and cross culturally with both technical and non-technical management and staff
