Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 7-10 years experience. Description: Leads the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organizations physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues. Serve as a high-level resource on database management issues, and participate in the planning, design, and usage of data resources.
We are looking for a Database Administrator that can be on-call to cover first response problem tickets for DBMS from Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase and also who can cover patching on Windows and UNIX systems. Looking for your strength to be in MS SQL Server or Oracle Database Administration and you will need to have some experience with Sybase so you can at least look into problems. Perl scripting knowledge is important as that is the infrastructure script syntax.
