Description:
This is a Blue Sky requisition pending negotiations and start date of October 31, 2009.
This position will serve an instrumental role in strategic planning and execution on the ECHO program. Individual will support multiple site's infrastructure and development phases to meet the customer program requirements. Perform duties required to support and maintain mission operations within the work center. Serve as a principle technical lead in coordinating tasks necessary to maintain and enhance the ECHO program. Evaluate and recommend technical solutions necessary to monitor the ECHO enterprise. Participate in the generation, and review of procedures, test plans, integration documentation, problem reports and the assessment of their impact on missions. Interface with management for engineering and operational issues. Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to function in a multi-contractor environment.
Skills: Proficient with computer architectures, monitoring and operating systems. Sound cause and effect troubleshooting techniques. Ability to provide effective coordination and support to a multi-disciplinary, multi-contractor team. Ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision is necessary.
Site Training Requirements: Certification not required but encouraged for performance as a System Operator. COMSEC certification may be required. Unique Training Requirements: System administration, networking, UNIX, Sun Solaris, computer system architectures, MS Office applications. Technical writing, CAM, proposal contract and business capture experience. Some travel required. Applicants selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Qualifications:
Team oriented Senior DBA with extensive experience in customer focused environments.
-Interface with CM Analyst to design and develop the backend CM Tools for Oracle Database
-Interface with Network Enginners to design and develop the backend for HP Openview monitoring, capacitiy planning,etc. data collections
-Interface with CM Analyst in using CM Tools for development (MS Visio Like Creation) of CM Work Flow Layouts capuring program Hardware and software operations and test baselines, discrepancies, and other related CM Tools capabilities
-Interface with Network Enginners in designing and maintaining multi-architectures operations
-Interface with multi transparent interfaces for SANs and Web Services
-Interface with Web Developers in CM Tools utlizing SOAP, java, and Visual Basic Scripting for Web Services Hosting
-Applicaton and Database diciplines in Adminisration, Operations, Mainteance such as Backup/Restoration, Disaster Recover in a Multi-Site Environment
