Description:
RAPS’
membership database is the central repository for all member and non-member
data, including event registration; product and service orders, dues, and
internal financial information; demographics; continuing education records; and
volunteer tracking. The Database Project Manager works with all staff to ensure that
they have the information that they need to do their jobs effectively. This
position reports to the Director of Information Technology within the Business
Operations function of RAPS.
Essential
Responsibilities:
- Maintain
functionality and accuracy of the database - Maintain continuous
relationship with database vendor to assure proper functionality, report
and resolve issues, seek continuous improvements. - Develop
quality control standards for data integrity - Create
guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency in the use of the
database - Act as a
technical expert and resource for Personify users and provide training to
staff on how to use the database effectively - Investigate and
respond to staff inquiries for needs and opportunities - Work
closely with all staff to understand their data input and output needs - Develop
and execute regular reports which highlight the various aspects of tracking membership and non-dues revenue
generation and insight into projected trends - Manage
mailing lists for internal and external purposes, including list
importation and de-duplication - Provide technical
support for conversion and filtering of documents as needed - Work with
staff and vendors to maximize the integration of the database with the
website - Work with
external vendors to ensure that products conform to the Society's data
standards
Requirements:
- Education and
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
desired - Three to five or more
years of relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, seven to ten
years of relevant experience - Working knowledge of Personify
preferred, SQL and Crystal Reports
