Job Profile

IMPAQ International is seeking a full time Database/Systems Analyst to provide and maintain technology services for the Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC), Labor Condition Applications (LCA) at the OFLC National Processing Center in Chicago, Illinois for a potential federal contract. The Database/Systems Analyst shall provide and maintain technology services to effectively plan, operate, and maintain technology solutions. The Analyst shall work cooperatively with existing on-site data technology specialists to coordinate any overlapping activities.  The Analyst must have the qualifications and experience to design and implement technology solutions to enhance contact center capabilities and effectiveness as the contact center progresses in sophistication.

Responsibilities

The Database/Systems Analyst will monitor on a daily basis system performance and identify and resolve system problems; and maintain a log of system problems such as outages, service interruptions and other information that will inform the government and improve service.

Duties include, but are not limited to, providing system and management analysis for OFLC programs and providing information that will be used for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of these programs.  In addition, the Database/ Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

a.    Analyzing program requirements to develop program or administrative systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.

b.    Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of OFLC program operations in meeting established goals and objectives.

c.    Developing ad-hoc queries to access OFLC program data, extracting and preparing data in a variety of electronic formats for end users, and responding effectively to requests for case, trend, or other program information from OFLC management staff.

d.    Using object-oriented programming languages, as well as client and server applications development processes and multimedia and Internet technology, to automate staff functions designed to improve work flow.

e.    Testing, maintaining, and monitoring OFLC program applications and other related systems.

f.     Training staff and users to work with OFLC program applications and other related systems, and, where necessary, providing assistance in solving computer related problems and issues.

Qualifications

Education

• Must have a minimum of a four year college degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on computer sciences or related area.

Knowledge and Experience

• Must have a minimum of three years professional experience  developing and maintaining relational databases in Microsoft SQL and Oracle
• Must have strong problem solving skills
