About the Job
Dean, Science, Mathematics and Engineering Sinclair Community College is a comprehensive community college located in Dayton, Ohio with an enrollment of over 25,000 students. Sinclair encourages lifelong learning by offering accessible and affordable education leading to associate degrees, certificate programs, and continuing education opportunities. The Science, Mathematics and Engineering division (SME) is nationally recognized for its state-of-the-art programs and facilities and has strong partnerships with local universities, industries and community agencies. The SME division is one of four academic divisions and includes nine academic departments: Automotive Technology, Aviation Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics & Robotics, Engineering Technology Design, Manufacturing & Operations Technology, Mathematics, and Physics. The Dean reports to the Senior Vice President and Provost and is a member of various college councils and committees. Requirements: Earned doctorate preferred; master's degree in a related discipline with significant professional experience and significant progress toward a doctorate required. Leadership experience in higher education, preferably at a community college. Demonstrated experience with curriculum development Experience acquiring and leveraging external funding.
