One of the great traditions in grocery is deli/bakery service. The Deli/Bakery Manager is responsible for ensuring that our customers are served quickly and courteously and that the Deli/Bakery is well managed, resulting in a positive shopping experience for our customers.
The Deli/Bakery Manager is very involved with the department associates. This manager assists in hiring, coaching and training associates, as well as conducting meetings and scheduling.
The Deli/Bakery Manager is essential in ensuring that products are handled properly and that foods are rotated to ensure freshness and date controls.
This manager is also responsible for ordering, vendor communications, compliance and sanitation, back room inventory and controls, and management of workplace and department safety.
The Deli/Bakery Manager is key in driving department programs and merchandising.
