Summary:

The Demand Planner supports the short term (6-12 month) demand forecast as well as collaboration of the long term (12+ months) demand plan while insuring forecast alignment with strategic goals.

Essential Job functions & Responsibilities:

·         Utilizing statistical forecast models, establish a model to carry out the 6-12 month customer demand forecasts.

·         Review and understand market and economic forecasts.

·         Prepare monthly demand reports highlighting performance and gaps to demand.

·         Partner with the WW Demand Manager to facilitate the demand review stage of the Sales and Operation process.

·         Update and publish the demand plan with Sales, Marketing and Finance on a monthly basis and in conjunction with the demand review phase of the Sales and Operation process.

·         Provide assistance in allocating supply to demand when in period constraints.

·         Provide continuous clear communication of the forecast numbers, changes, assumptions, inputs, etc to production, sales, marketing, finance and other departments.

·         Interfaces with the above functions and provides analysis as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·         Knowledge in statistical modeling is a prerequisite.

·         Requires broad knowledge of forecasting, product distribution, inventory control, manufacturing processes and master scheduling.

·         Must have a clear understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing planning and control systems.

·         Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, presentation and time management skills.

·         Must be self-motivated, willing to take risks, and comfortable participating in the decision making process for cross-functional teams.

·         Knowledge of SAP planning.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience:

·         B.S. in Business, Finance, Marketing or Operations Management.

·         Minimum 3 years demand planning, forecasting and sales planning experience in areas such as Sales/Marketing, Material Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, or Production Scheduling (experience in a manufacturing setting preferred).

Travel requirements:

·         Occasional domestic and international travel, at times on short notice.

·         Current passport and no history of declined visas, or entry refusal to any country.
