General Duties:
- Maintain a teaching assignment each module
- Create a lesson plan based on approved syllabus/course outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met
- Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate the learning styles of a diverse student enrollment
- Design, administer and grade examinations
- Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE
- Be available to advise, tutor and assist students as needed
Requirements:
- Certified Dental Assistant / EFDA, preferably Associates degree or higher from a regionally accredited college
- 3+ years of experience in the dental field
- CPR certification
- X-ray certification
- Working knowledge of chair-side assisting and sterilization techniques
- Effective laboratory skills
