ProLogis is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner at our Corporate Headquarters in Denver. Our office is located near Pena Blvd. and I-70. The Senior HR Business Partner will report to the VP HR North America, providing support to one or more business units or corporate functions.
The Senior HR Business Partner will become a strategic member of the leadership teams of the business organization they are supporting and provide strategic direction, counsel, influence and partnership with senior management teams as it relates to human resource initiatives.
Duties, responsibilities and characteristics include the following:
- Ability to provide strategic HR support to business leaders within a business unit or organization
- Proven ability to work closely with senior management to develop effective HR strategies to address the professional development, retention and hiring of talent
- Ability to design organizational structures
- Ability to bring “thought” leadership, creativity, and drive organizational change
- Experience working with management around the execution of Human Resources initiatives, important to driving business results
- Strong understanding of traditional HR tools: staffing, organization design, performance management, HR measurement and legal compliance
- Understanding of workforce demographic issues/trends
- Ability to lead an organization effectiveness initiative, both strategically and operationally.
- Demonstrated relationship and influencing skills
- Proven ability to effectively deal with conflict
- Strong relationship management skills; a skillful team player with the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business
- Excellent communication skills
- Track record of high integrity and credibility
- Act as a single point of contact to liaise with Recruiting, Training and Compensation Centers of Excellence
- Facilitate and coach managers in people management, talent development, personal leadership, and team effectiveness and provide accurate and candid feedback
- Provide strategic solutions to address talent, organization and culture implications to business model or strategy
- Support organization design, development and change management focused on implementation of business strategy
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to strategize search approach (internal and external) and assist in selection process – either through interviews or consulting
- Participate or facilitate talent mapping process as appropriate
- Support all training initiatives by assisting in design, delivery, reinforcement or tracking as appropriate
- Consult and counsel managers on an ongoing basis regarding compensation alignment and equity
- Assist in the roll-out of annual compensation planning by preparing managers for annual process, reinforcing messaging to client groups, trouble-shooting, reviewing proposals and advising on progress
Qualifications include the following:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 8 or more years HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience influencing and partnering with senior leaders
