Department Manager, Design Print & Ship

The Department Manager, Design Print & Ship (DPS) will encourage and provide a strong customer service environment by ensuring every customer is greeted and offered assistance as needed.
In this role you will perform complete management of the DPS Department.  This includes sales growth/plan attainment, training and development, cost management, organization.  In addition, you will also observe, coach and provide feedback to associates on process and policy; achieve departmental and store established goals for planned sales and profit; provide input and feedback for the completion of performance appraisals, and assist with the delivery as well as the developmental feedback to the associate.  You will participate in the interviewing and selection process of newly hired associates who will be assigned within the DPS department.



Customer Service Department:


·    Manage and direct DPS operations and supervise DPS associates to ensure fast and easy service for our customers.


·    Ensure appearance and daily operational standards of the DPS are maintained.


·    Train all DPS associates on register procedures, as well as customer service and product knowledge training designed for the DPS.


·    Complete and audit paperwork and quality control of the department.


·    Cross-train associates as determined necessary by the management team.


 


Qualifications:


 


·    High School or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.


·    Associate’s Degree preferred.


·    Minimum of three (3) years related work experience.


·    Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, which are necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers and model skills for direct reports.


·    Must be able to effectively lead and manage others in a professional environment.


·    Must be able to plan, prioritize and implement detailed instructions in a timely and efficient manner, working independently, as well as with others.


·    Must possess the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
