Job Description

Deloitte Audit (DA) is a global, multi-year program that enables the execution of our global audit technology strategy supporting the goal to be recognized as the standard of excellence.
 
POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Deployment Manager is part of the Deployment team within the Deloitte Audit Program.  This individual will:
· Work closely with members of the Global Deployment Team and member firm implementation teams to understand their unique business challenges and strategies and manage deployment activities to support those strategies.
· Participate in project planning and status meetings identify deployment risks and mitigations, provide deployment updates according to plan.
· Deliver deployment-related materials to support the deployment of products to member firms, including deployment plan, learning program, etc.
· Actively participate in the Deployment Workstream by contributing suggested practices, lessons learned, etc.
· Ensures deployment project deliverables are delivered
according to the project plan
 
This individual will work on complex projects and should be able to operate under minimal supervision, interacting with people virtually and across all levels of the organization (i.e. Partner, Director, Senior Manager, Manager,  etc.)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Project
- Responsible for managing the creation of all deployment deliverables assigned to them
- Contribute to defining and developing deployment best practices
- Manage the development of the deployment plan that includes the approach for product deployment, learning, support, change management, communications, etc
- Develop and enhance end user documentation for DA products, including reference manuals, training materials, deployment process related materials, presentations, support manuals, release notes, and intranet content.
- Identify the risks/issues of deploying a product, including understanding the complexities of technology platforms, member firms, legal entities, and geography
(time zones, language, etc)
- Facilitate cross-team communication and status reporting; report on project health and risk and issue mitigation
- Provide guidance and support to team on process execution
- Maintain a working knowledge of the DA products and technology platforms and how they work together
- Review functional and business requirements in the context of deployment, and provide guidance as needed
- Develop and manage the deployment approach for particular products within DA taking into consideration the dependencies and requirements, and complexities of infrastructure, geography, and end user requirements.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to form a holistic, organizational view of deploying technology solutions
- Work with global business and technology teams as an advocate for end users and geographic deployment teams
 
Management
- Establish and maintain working relationship with key contacts across the DA Program and within member
firms
- Understand DTT and Global Audit business strategy and understand how the DA program executes against that strategy
- Manage ongoing relationship with assigned project teams
- Maintain an understanding of deployment activity across all DA products
- Manage interdependencies across projects within a program
- Work autonomously identifying and establishing work priorities, and respond with flexibility to changing or urgent needs of the business
- Provide regular updates to Deployment and Infrastructure Leaders regarding projects
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on sound judgment
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Identify areas for streamlining and improving deployment processes, including tools and resources such as document templates
- Contribute to the successful deployment of DA products

Knowledge, Abilities and Skill Expectations
 
Specific
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong working
knowledge in Microsoft Project Server
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Strong ability to communicate at all levels

Experience
 
The number of years of prior relevant experience necessary to perform this job at an acceptable level are:
 
- 3+ years of deployment (with business focus), implementation or project/program management experience in multi-national enterprises
 
Interpersonal Relations
 
- The incumbent is expected to operate and communicate in a global matrix environment. The ability to effectively cooperate and collaborate with many different individuals within Deloitte is essential to be successful
- Strong oral and written communications skills
