Deputy Construction Manager – Taiwan

We have an immediate opportunity for an Deputy Construction Manager Engineer to work on a major air radar project with a constructed value of about US$2 billion.  This will include large control centers, computer rooms and uninterruptible power supplies; and support facilities including training centers, and interface to other communication systems.  The major duties are day-to-day running of the Project Office generating and answering project correspondence, oversight of project cost accounting, reviewing change orders, processing owner and subcontractor billings, overall project coordination, and providing awareness of the day-to-day running of the project to the Project Manager.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or a related discipline, PE license, and at least ten years experience in construction projects for the installation of electrical and electronic equipment, preferably for the Armed Forces.  Well-developed organizational and communication skills are also required, and the ability to work at all levels of the organization and organize large volumes of information and prepare reports.  The ability to obtain US Secret security clearance is required.

Engagement will initially be on a contract basis in Taiwan, and includes generous salary, flights home, accommodation, medical care, and a living allowance on a single or married basis.  We will also provide assistance to obtain the maximum tax-free compensation and arrange all work visas.
