California Closets is hiring a Full-Time Design Consultant

Ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic with a proven track record in sales. Design experience not required, training provided.

Job Description

Working with clients on a daily basis to assist them with organization and to provide storage systems designed exclusively for their needs. Provide exceptional service and professionalism at all times.

Job Duties
-- Meet with clients in their homes and arrive on time to appointments.
-- Identify, evaluate, and design solutions to meet the needs of the client.
-- Ensure that each project is completed to the customer's satisfaction by implementing all steps required from the pre-appointment call to post-installation follow-up.
-- Troubleshoot all problems, tie up loose ends, and monitor jobs from start to finish.
-- Maintain customer correspondence before, during, and after the sale. And respond promptly to customer phone calls, emails, etc.
-- Create and maintain workable filing system for all customers, both sold and pending. Monitor these files on a consistent basis.
-- Follow all design and sales procedures by filling out all appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
-- Maintain a personal home office with a well-maintained laptop computer that conforms to the company's specifications, printer, and fax machine.
-- Collect job deposits and outstanding balances from contracted customers.
-- Work showroom hours as scheduled.
-- Generate leads by networking with Builders, Interior Designers, and Architects, etc...

Overall Expectations
-- The Designer has a flexible schedule, however, is expected to work an average of 5 days a week.
-- Full time Designers must average a minimum of 18 new appointments per month.
-- All appointments will be kept at the assigned date and time. If any changes are necessary, the office must be notified of the need to change. A consistent pattern of changes is not acceptable.
-- Designers are expected to communicate responsibly and coordinate efforts with Production, Front Office, and Management.
-- Follow company dress code policy, i.e., a professional and well-groomed image at all times.
