This position reports to the Director of Engineering. 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DESIGN ENGINEER:

Responsibilities:

·         Design Engineer for Mobile Equipment Drive Trains

·         Work with Diesel Engine supplier on Power Package integration

·         Developing test plans and overseeing the process

·         Working with suppliers, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure the system can be manufactured repeatedly and in a cost effective manor ensuring quality requirements

·         Working with the production personnel to launch new products successfully

·         Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and defining solutions

·         Reporting on the status of projects in development

·         Bill of Material maintenance within manufacturing software

Requirements:

·         Minimum 3 years experience in Design Engineering

·         Proficient with SolidWorks

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·         Prior experience with diesel engines, drive trains, and power transmission preferred
