Well established growing company in the NE metro Atlanta area. Salary range is commensurate with years of specific experience. Relocation is available. Responsibilities - Designing tooling and systems for use in the performance of specialty repair service offerings
- Work under the direction of the Senior Director of Engineering
- Resolve complex and unique technical issues and provide expert technical reviews and troubleshooting
- Perform tooling design tasks and when assigned, provide direction to tooling design teams for the completion of tooling system projects
- Working extensively with robotics and welding applications
Requirements - Must have BS in Engineering or BS in Physical Sciences or equivalent (Prefer BSME)
- Must have 6+ years of product development and related design engineering or 10 years related technologies engineering and manufacturing
- CAD experience is needed (Solid Works Modeling CAD/CAE software)
- Experience with design engineering documentation standards
- Knowledge of machine design principles including tolerancing, gear train design, strength of materials, motors, bearings, position feedback, human engineering
- Knowledge of electronic control systems is a plus
- Generate tooling cost estimates to assist in the proposal generation cycle
- Work closely with the controls engineering team in the performance of functions
- Must have or be able to attain and maintain Unescorted access to a nuclear site for 10% travel as needed

Questions you will be asked:
• Do you have a BS in Engineering or BS in Physical Sciences or equivalent degree? Preference is to have a BSME? Advanced degree is a plus.
• Explain your machine design experience? What type of software? Any Solid Works modeling? If not, any other solid modeling experience?
• Describe your proven 10+ years of machine design and related design engineering development of automated mechanical systems, integration and product assembly ?
• How much knowledge of machine design principles including tolerancing, gear train design, motors, bearings, human factors engineering, controls?
• Any electronic control systems experience? Any experience with robotics and or welding applications? Any experience with any other remote tooling applications?
