Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, MN, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Design Researcher in our Center for Innovation. Mayo Clinic leadership, recognizing the need to continue innovating and transforming health care in the 21st century, launched the Center for Innovation in June 2008. The center’s goal is to transform the way health care is experienced and delivered and to foster a culture of competency of innovation. Like a giant incubator, the center offers a unique space within Mayo Clinic for nurturing new ideas, enabling them to grow, mature and evolve until they are ready for patients.
As Design Researcher, you will consult internally with the departments, divisions and committees across the Clinic, looking to foster innovation in the delivery of Mayo's health care services. Using the human-centered and participatory methods of design, you will identify unmet patient, provider and institutional needs and create new service concepts or business strategies. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Our qualified candidate will have a master’s in interaction, service design, industrial design or communication design and 2 years of experience working with design research tools and project management, or a bachelor’s in the same disciplines and 7 years of related experience.
Our qualified candidate will have a master’s in interaction, service design, industrial design or communication design and 5 years of experience working with design research tools and project management, or a bachelor’s in the same disciplines and 10 years of related experience.
