Primary Purpose: The Designer will work with the Sr. Design Director to initiate concepts each season that are fashion driven and reflective of the creative vision. You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will collaborate with talented designers and cross-functional partners in the business. Reports to the Sr. Design Director, Men’s Accessories.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Accessory Design to...
- Create sketches and product prototypes throughout the conceptual design process.
- Partner with creative team to refine seasonal concept, materials, hardware, and color palette for Men's Accessories Collections, including belts, small leather goods, novelty, and key chains.
- Responsible for timeline adherence; ensure all design cards are completed accurately and delivered to Product Development on time; ensure all prototypes are available for product presentation and finalization. Ensure staff completes projects on timeline.
- Responsible for upholding design integrity, high quality execution, and timeliness through the entire development process from concept through engineering and commercialization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Product Development on regular basis. Participate in meetings with cross-functional category partners.
- Maintain and update Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system with relevant design information.
- Mentor and develop design associates and assistants.

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience designing men's bag, accessories, or related product.
- Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field.
- Ability to sketch both technical drawings and freeform renderings.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Experience developing product directly with factories; understanding of development from concept through engineering, required.
- Strong understanding of materials, hardware, leather, and small leather goods (slgs) construction.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel.
